Sushi Roku Debuts New Small Plates and Signature Sushi
08.24.26
Sushi Roku has added new dishes to its menu, blending bright, chilled small plates with bold takes on its Roku Signature Style Sushi. The new offerings are now available at all Sushi Roku locations, including Sushi Roku Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
New additions include a seaweed salad with hiyashi wakame, cucumber, arare and wasabi citrus vinaigrette; tuna tataki with onion, chives, garlic chips and mizore ponzu; octopus carpaccio with red yuzu kosho, lemon zest, micro cilantro and yuzu chili ponzu; salmon hanabi with spicy salmon, crispy rice and serrano chili; and grilled salmon served with golden Yukon mashed potatoes, green apple, bok choy and citrus kumquat.
The Roku Signature Style Sushi lineup is offered a la carte and served with seaweed, meant to be eaten like a hand roll. Options include salmon belly sushi with caviar and cilantro mayo, truffle crab sushi with snow crab, avocado, truffle and champagne butter, and A5 Wagyu sushi with kizami wasabi, garlic chips and sesame soy.
Sushi Roku has long been considered a pioneer of contemporary sushi, pairing traditional Japanese technique with global flavors and seasonal California ingredients. The kitchen sources fish from around the world, prepared with the precision of seasoned sushi chefs.
The beverage program is equally deep. Certified sake sommeliers and mixologists have built a beverage menu to match the food, with a sake selection spanning traditional Junmai, Ginjo and Daiginjo styles along with flavored, Nigori and sparkling varieties. The wine list leans into labels that complement Japanese cuisine, from crisp whites and premium French Champagnes to full-bodied reds.
The new menu is available now at all locations for dine-in, takeout and delivery through third-party apps.

Europa Village Unveils Lucia at the Cave, a New Wine Cave Cocktail Lounge
08.20.26
Europa Village Wineries & Resort in Temecula Valley has opened Lucia at the Cave, a new cocktail bar and lounge tucked inside the resort's Vienza Cave. The concept is the newest addition to Europa Village's food and beverage lineup, bringing a polished cocktail destination to the winery's underground setting.
Named for the Latin word for "light," Lucia balances elevated design with an inviting atmosphere. Custom furnishings, a central chandelier and a grand bar anchor the space, giving the subterranean cave a refined, moody feel suited to intimate dates or small gatherings. Guests can order specialty cocktails alongside Italian small plates.
Standout cocktails include the Golden Hour, made with reposado tequila, lychee cordial, sherry, elderflower and lime juice, topped with edible flower petals. The Lucia mixes mezcal, Chambord, watermelon juice, basil and jalapeño bitters, garnished with basil and cucumber. The Ember Reserve blends rye, simple syrup and walnut bitters, finished with an orange peel, rosemary and a Luxardo cherry. Other options include the Afterglow, a gin and mezcal cocktail with lavender syrup and salt spray, and the Jade Negroni, made with gin, vermouth, Midori, Luxardo Bitter Bianco and Green Chartreuse.
On the food side, the menu features gnocchi bruschetta, burrata caprese, truffle arancini, filet mignon arrosticini and a fig and hazelnut flatbread.
Lucia at the Cave is open Thursday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m., at 41150 Via Europa in Temecula.
